How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Westin Truck Bed Mat on our 2022 Chevy Colorado. Adding a truck bed mat to the back of your vehicle is gonna allow you to have additional measure of protection against scratches and dents and dings, especially this guy with it being so thick. Generally speaking, if you're gonna use your truck bed as a truck bed, it's a great measure and a great way to keep things nice and secure when you're going down the road, 'cause it gives you additional traction on the bottom and keep a lot of that dirt and grime directly off the paint of your bed. So, taking a closer look at what makes this one unique is the fact that it is a custom fit mat. So it's going to be designed to fit your six foot bed and fit right in to the details in the grooves of the bed, like around your wheel wells and everything else as far as the contours. Now, this mat has been designed for your six and a half foot bed on your Silverado, and it's going to just cover the entire bed of your truck and help protect it from any type of dents or scratches and stuff like that.Obviously, this particular Silverado has a spray-in bed liner, but if yours doesn't, this is especially useful because it's really going to help protect it from scratches. You can kind of see on the end of the tailgate right here, this part's not covered with the liner, and you can see it's already got a ton of scratches and stuff on it. So with this bed mat, that could have easily prevented it. And obviously, with the spray-in bed liner, it'll still help with dents and other stuff like that.What's pretty cool is that this is custom fit, like I said. more

Now this mat is custom fit for the truck bed of your Toyota Tundra. Now you can see how it lines the contours of our truck bed very nicely at the corners, at the wheel wells, just to make sure it's covered as much of the bed as possible. And this is going to be a really nice solution to protecting your truck bed from any type of dents or dings or scratches or anything like that, but not only your truck bed, maybe even some items you throw in there. This truck bed mat is going to do a great job of protecting it is so if you have luggage or something like that, you're tossing in the inside, you definitely don't want this spray-in bed liner scratching up your luggage, especially if you're traveling a lot.This is going to be a 3/8 of an inch thick, narrow cord construction. more

Today, we have a 2019 Ram 1500 Classic. We're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install this DZ Custom Fit Truck Bed Mat which is part number DZ-86996.When you first receive your truck bed mat, it's going to be rolled up like this. It'll have some Saran Wrap around it, some other packaging. When you roll it out the first time, whether you're going to put it straight in your truck bed or if you just want to roll it out on the concrete to take a look at it, it's going, it might be a little bit warped because it was rolled up like this for a longer period of time.The only way to get rid of that is just let it sit in the sun for a little bit of time. The sun will heat up the rubber and then it will flatten to whatever surface that it's on.It's going to be very easy to put in place. You just want to make sure you figure out where the back is. more

Today we have a 2019 Ram 1500 and we're gonna be doing a test fir on the Westin custom fit truck bed mat which is part number 50-6205. Now when you first get your mat in the mail or if it's shipped to you it's gonna be rolled up like this, be packaged up and saran wrapped up and in a baggie. What I want to let you know is that when you first roll it out whether you want to put it in your truck right away or if you want to roll that out on the concrete, take a quick look at it, it's going to be a little bit warped just from being rolled up for so long. Once you let it sit in the sun, the sun is gonna heat up the rubber and that's gonna make it form to whatever surface it's on.So let's go ahead and put it in place. You see that the back is right here, you can tell because of this little backwards L right there that's gonna fit in the back corner of the truck bed. So we're just gonna put it out like this and actually it's easiest if you're just up here already then you can just pull it out like this. more

But we wanted to point out real quick that when you unroll it, it is going to have a bit of warp to it because it was originally sent to you like this, and it's probably been rolled up for a good amount of time. It's going to level itself out in your truck bed, or if you want to lie it on your concrete first, the sun heats up the rubber and then it just flattens to whatever surface that it's on.Now we'll go ahead and show you how easy it is to install. If you've got a five foot bed Colorado, it's custom fit to fit that, with the tailgate extension, so you have that extra padding on your tailgate, so it's all around your truck bed.The soft carpeted padding's gonna be soft, yet durable, so it's gonna be able to hold your fragile items or if you want to crawl up and kneel on, you can kneel on the mat and do any work you need to up in the bed of your truck. Or, if at the end of the day, after a long days work, you just want to toss your tools in the bed of the truck, it's gonna act as a great shock absorber, so it'll do a great job of protecting your truck bed for many dings, scratches, anything to that nature.Now let's go over real quick how to attach it to our truck bed. Today I'm going to take a look at the DZ heavyweight, custom fit, truck bed mat, part number DZ86917. Here's what our truck bed mat will look like once it's installed. Here on the bottom of the mat are the rubber cleats that will help hold the mat and cargo in place. Here, we get an idea just how thick this mat is, so it'll help protect our pick-up bed. Even being this thick, the mat is still pliable, but the extra thickness protects the bed and prevents the mat from cracking, tearing, or rusting. In some cases, when we first roll our mat out, because it's rolled up in packaging, it may take a little time in the sun for it to flatten out. As you can see here, our mat is flattened out and we get a really good idea of how well it's cut out to our pick-up bed. more

Now our utility or skid guard mat has an extra thick rubber so it's very durable, will resist cracking and tearing, and even extreme temperatures. It can withstand common fuel and oil spills. The rubber cleats on the bottom will help keep the mat in proper position and allow for any water drainage that may get underneath the mat. As you can see, it's also great for your shop or garage floor. It keeps spills off the floor and adds cushion for any fatigue to make an easier working environment. Today on our 2013 Ford F150, we'll be test fitting the WeatherTech TechLiner Custom Truck Bed Mat in black, part number WT36603. We'll begin our test fit by unrolling the mat and placing it into the bed of our pickup truck. Now the WeatherTech logo should be at the end of the truck bed towards the tailgate. Notice the precision cut of the mat. Even up here around the smallest edges, up towards the cab of the truck, how it fits perfectly in this small crevice. It comes around the wheel well perfectly and is even cut perfectly around the stake pockets here. more

Today, on our 2005 Ford F-150 SuperCrew Cab , well be doing a test fit of the WeatherTech Techliner Custom Truck Bed Mat in Black, Part Number WT36603. To begin with, you want to clean any dirt or debris thats in the bed of your truck.Once you have the bed of your truck cleaned out, well go ahead and fold the mat in half, itll help us set in place a little easier. Youll notice that the mat is formed around the wheel wells as well as the ridges in the bed of the truck. There are also dimple areas that will accommodate the bed bolts.Youll notice that the bed mat comes up approximately three inches all the way around your bed except for the tailgate. This will help keep any dirt and debris that may collect towards the tailgate where itll eventually come up at the back of the vehicle.Youll also notice eight locations with hook and loop fasteners. To secure the bed mat to your bad, you want to use some rubbing alcohol or other cleaning agent to clean the bed area first before you put the adhesive from the hook and loop side to the bed.To clean the bed liner, you can use a mild detergent and water. more
